Prefab T House Camp Canteen/Restaurant Installation Technical Guide – WELLCAMP Prefabricated Camp Building Solution

I. Introduction

In large-scale engineering projects, Mining areas, Oil & gas projects, and Rescue scenarios, where personnel are concentrated, the canteen is considered one of the most critical infrastructure elements for camp operations. Compared to traditional construction methods, which are characterized by long construction periods, high costs, and difficulties in relocation, Prefab T House prefabricated canteens, with their advantages of rapid assembly, scalability, and reusability, have gradually become the mainstream form of camp catering architecture globally.

IV. Construction Preparation and Requirements

4.1 Site Requirements

The ground should be compacted and leveled, with a slope ≥2% to facilitate drainage.

The kitchen needs to have pre-installed floor drains and fume extraction interfaces.

Material storage areas and construction access routes should be planned in advance.

4.2 Workers and Equipment

Installation can be completed with  installation team and standard tools.

WELLCAMP prefabricates all components in the factory, eliminating the need for on-site cutting and resulting in lower error.

Other suppliers require on-site cutting of some components, and efficiency is affected by worker experience.

V. Installation Process and Technical Points

1) Foundation and Positioning

Concrete strip foundation/steel base can be used.

Layout deviation ≤5mm to ensure structural flatness.

2) Steel Structure Installation

Sequence: Columns → Beams → Tie Rod Connections

Bolts are tightened to the designed torque. WELLCAMP reinforces joints for better wind resistance, suitable for desert and high-altitude projects.

3) Wall and Roof Installation

Wall panels are assembled from corners to the center.

Grade A rock wool + fireproof strips are recommended for the kitchen area.

Overlapping the roof on the leeward side provides better waterproofing.

4) Plumbing, Electricity, and Smoke Exhaust System

Smoke exhaust ducts and oil sludge isolation are installed in the kitchen.

LED light strips + fresh air system are installed in the dining area.

Cold storage and food waste collection points can be configured.

5) Estimated Construction Time One standard dining building: 3–7 days to complete.

A 1000-person dining hall can be put into use in 25–35 days. WELLCAMP's multinational project coordination speed is superior to other suppliers' delivery models.

VI. Quality Acceptance Standards

Structural vertical deviation ≤3mm

Roof wind resistance ≥8-10

Fire resistance rating has passed acceptance report

Delivery will only proceed after successful trial operation and inspection following water and electricity commissioning.

VII. Operation and Maintenance

Check bolts for rust prevention every 6 months.

Maintain roof waterproofing annually.

Clean kitchen exhaust ducts regularly.

Completely disassemble and relocate for reuse, saving over 35% in costs.

IX. Conclusion

Prefab T House, as the prefab solution for camp ground dining infrastructure, enables large-capacity dining and long-term stable operation in a short period.

WELLCAMP leads other suppliers in structural safety, smoke and fire prevention, installation speed, global delivery, and customization capabilities, making it the ideal partner for rapid deployment of restaurants in engineering camps.

When you need a reliable, durable, and quickly deployable campground restaurant, choosing Wellcamp means choosing stability and efficiency.
